Six operators give you thirty-two algorithms to start from, and then the routing comes off the rails: any operator can modulate any other, at any depth, all six at once if you want. That is far more arrangements than you could work through in a lifetime, and every one of them is a different instrument. The front panel keeps the controls that matter out in the open, so you can chase one instead of decoding it.
